ARCHIMEDES FOR SALE

Achilles 24 triple £4000

Sail Number 232 1973
Sailed over 2000nmiles since first launched by me in 2006.
Last sailed on 14 May 2011.
White hull and topsides. White sails with red and white spinnaker.

Sails

Roller reefing Genoa (2006 with recent new sacrificial strip)
Main sail (2007)reefed around the boom or slab (2 rows of cringles)
Spinnaker (red and white) and spinnaker pole.

Rigging

Standing rigging replaced 2006
Running rigging good condition and all present.
Roller reefing mechanism for genoa installed 2006
Lines fed back to cockpit

Engine

Vire 7hp 2 stroke inboard (believed origional to the boat)
Carburettor replaced 2006
Bracket on transom for auxilliary outboard (OB not included)

Electrical

2 leisure batteries wired through a changeover switch and charged from engine. Only one battery is servicable.
All devices wired through fuses/circuit breakers.
Master cut off switch for all devices except tiller pilot which is wired through fuse to battery number one. Apart from this the two batteries are interchangeable through the changeover switch

Electronics

Cobra DSC radio wired to nmea for position from GPS, external speaker on instrument binnacle.(2006)
Garmin GPS 72 handheld wired into boats power and nmea. (2006)
Garmin fishfinder 90 (2008)
Raymarine tridata log (depth, speed & temperature) (2006)
Autohelm 1000 tiller pilot (date unknown)

On Deck

Sprayhood, dodgers, jackstays, life buoy, tiller extension and Tiller Mate

Inside

4 berths (2 quarter and one double in bow)
Portable gas cooker single burner. (2008)
2 stainless steel sinks (tap not connected)
Chemical toilet in fore cabin
Chart table, Cabin Lighting, fire extinguishers

Boat hook, 2 anchors with chain and warp, fenders
Tender (old but servicable)
Notes
I am selling Archimedes since I have bought another boat. At present she is in a boatyard at Burry Port Marina (South Wales) with the mast down.
