Achilles Owners Meeting Oct 2nd 2010

33 Achilles owners and interested parties met at Burry Port Yacht Club, South Wales.
William Garnier the author of ‘Big Bloke Small Boat, the Voyage of a Madman’ regalled the audience with his exploits in his A24 Aluffe. Chris Butler was his usual interesting self answering questions and telling stories of his numerous voyages.
The raffle raised £130 for the RLNI. The prizes were as follows:
2nd prize - a print of Burry Port donated by Nigel and Bethan Williams was won by Ron Rees.
1st prize - an original oil painting by Chris Butler of his boat Swansea Bay in a force 11 storm was won by Mario Crecente a 9m owner from Spain.
The excellent home cooked food was prepared by Bethan Williams.
